COOL ENOUGH

If you are anything like me, I’m sure you have gone completely stir crazy from sitting in the house all day for the last seven months. When my friend invited me on a (socially distanced) weekend trip to San Diego I literally jumped with excitement. Just leaving my apartment complex was a thrill in itself, but the highlight was visiting this beautiful winery where these photos were taken.

A barbershop? Don’t know her. I have not had my hair cut since February, so as you can imagine it is looking very wild at the moment. As a result, this cap has practically become my default accessory. I have never been a hat person before, but it’s starting to grow on me (almost literally). I admittedly also wear this shirt just as much. Every one needs a good satin button up in their life and this is a hill I’m willing to die on. They are incredibly versatile, works in pretty much every environment or scenario, and takes any look up a few notches in the chic department. This shiny stone colored number makes no exception here as it cascades across my jeans. The coastal sky blue light wash denim acts as a wave of color in my otherwise rather neutral sea.

The clear focal point of this outfit are my glitter boots - I’ve been obsessed with these since I gifted them to myself last Christmas. Just staring at them twinkle while I walk in the sunlight is probably my favorite pastime nowadays. The twinkles burst through when contrasted with the rough and solid texture of the jeans. The mixing of styles is really my favorite part here. The silky satin finish of the shirt and the glistening metallic glitter from the boots illicit a very luxe and opulent feel. The baseball cap and my trusty Levi’s could not possibly scream causal any more than they already do. What they create together is something so effortless.
